DIY Remove Warts
Warts (Verruca)are small skin growth appear on skin and very common happen in the childhood, caused by a viral infection specifically by human papillomavirus (HPV) . Warts are contagious and can be easily passed from person to person if they touch them, or if on genitals, through vaginal, anal, or oral intercourse. Most warts are gone by itself after a while, but some aren’t. Event though warts are usually not dangerous, but they are unpleasant, most of us want them removed. There are some home remedies you can use to remove warts. However warts grow near eyes, face, and other sensitive parts, I strongly recommend doctor to do it.
1. Duct tape
Using duct tape is the most popular method many people use, it’s painless but it takes time. In fact, it has also been backed by scientific research, that duct tape is effective at removing or eliminating warts.
Put the duct tape over the wart for several days to keeps the air away from the wart and kills the wart. Then take the duct tape off and soak the area in warm water and take the extra skin off that is dead, you can use pumice stone to do it easily . Then put more duct tape on and repeat this process until the wart is gone. This also works on plantar warts.
2. Apple cider vinegar
Take a cotton ball and tear into the size of your wart. Soak it in apple cider vinegar. After squeezing out the excess, place the cotton ball on the wart and secure with a Bandaid or a plaster. Repeat this each evening. The wart will start to turn big and yucky after a couple of days and a few days later it will disappear. This remedy works even on warts that have been around for several years.
3. Garlic
Cut a small piece of fresh garlic and place it on top of the wart, the cut portion is in contact with the warts. Keep it in place with tape or duct tape. It is good to seal it totally with the tape so that no air gets in. Repeat daily for 2 weeks and the wart will fall off.
4. Lime paste and soap
Mix lime paste (can be bought from Asian groceries) and Soap (any soap) for a ratio 1:1. Put the mixture JUST on your wart, don’t over spread to other healthy areas. You will start to feel the sting within 10 minutes. Do it before you sleep at night. In the next morning the skin on the wart will shrink, bleed and come off. This method is a bit painful, but it does work for me.
5. Salicylic acid
Soak the warts in warm water for about 10-15 minutes and then put salicylic acid on them and put a band aid on them. You will see the difference within 24 hours. Do it for several days.
6. Collomack
If you live in Germany or Europe, you may be able to get this topical easily. This is a very powerful wart removal, and has been proven every effective sworn by many people. I don’t understand why it just suddenly disappeared from the market few years ago.
