Living for God
You can’t please everyone, so don’t exhaust yourself trying to. Instead, do what you know God approves of and leave the worries of not gaining the approval of others behind you. After all, whether you do good things or bad things, there will always be someone out there who will find some reason to make you feel like you just can’t do anything right.

Thus it’s not that you can’t do anything right, it’s just that they don’t know how to think properly. In other words, you aren’t the root of the problem; rather, the problem lies in how they look at life. Hence, it is impossible to gain the approval of all, because not everyone is as thoughtful as they ought to be. Moreover, you shouldn’t try to gain the approval of everyone for the simple fact that to do so you would have to lose God’s approval on some point, as His thoughts are higher than ours and He knows what’s best for us better than we do.
The real question that we need to address here then is who is more important to us? If God is more important to us, and He should be, then we should just simply do those things that He approves of and stop wasting our energy trying to gain the approval of people who could care less about Him and His ways. Indeed, it would be far easier and more productive to just simply do what God expects of us than it would be to try to please everyone.
Of course, it’s not about choosing the easy path; rather, it’s about doing what is right. But you will find that in doing the right thing with God you will not only have peace of mind, you will also foster a deeper sense of happiness as a result of having an untainted conscience. But if you try to please everyone, not only will you be miserable while trying, you will also have to compromise your faith in some way. And no one should do that, because whatever is not of faith is sin, and the wages of sin is death, and such compromises have caused many to fall into grave snares of travesty and misfortune.
