Since UNESCO selected Indonesian Batik as world’s cultural heritage in October 2009, Indonesian Batik has been gaining its popularity, not only in Indonesia but also in Asia.

Batik now are not only used in clothing, but also for other stuffs such as footwear, souvenirs, bags, and many more.  If you come to Indonesia, don’t forget to buy some Batik. They are relatively cheap but excellent quality.
One thing that make Indonesian batik different to other countries batik is the pattern, Indonesian One has a very artistic fine drawing of Batik, and use real Batik wax. There is a historical story of every batik. In Solo, Indonesia, the place where Batik came from, you may also find traditional Batik makers. They draw Batik by hand, it was believe the old original Batik has stories on the drawing.

Batik souvenir also popular in Indonesia and have been exported to many countries around the world. Batik is also good for craft work for your kid too, the material is so durable and they are not expensive.
